At 5 am a town public works employee notified the NEST hotline of a mother sea turtle nesting on the beach. Mom was just finishing and left before NEST volunteers arrived.
Jennifer C found the nest! Congratulations! it was her first. Just as Jennifer found the nest the hot line called out for more volunteers to go to a nest sight in Kill Devil Hills.
